Tesco Finest Gigondas 2005 AOC

Color:garnet medium red with garnet meniscus
Bouquet: plums, black currant marmelade, clove
Taste: medium to full body, quite dry, slightly higher acidity, cherries, sour cherries, red mirabelle jam, sweet spices mainly licorice, clove, at the end slight bitterness , medium finish
Recommended food pairing:  we had French dry goat cheese, which was quite nice

This is the second bottle of Gigondas in one evening and it is rather different. This one is more on fruitier side than the first one we had here.  It lacks the big body and tannins, but has more fruit and surprisingly spices.
